Talk to older people who are doing what you want to do.Notice I didn't say offer to be their lackey for free, or add value to their organization, just make a business friend and maybe you will get inveted to some cocktail parties, or cookouts or a fun boat ride (it is Florida after all).What is your social circle, Yacht club, Ex-convicts, Community College attendees's, Drift Car owners, etc...[...NAIOP ...requirements ... age being one of them).]Well a lot of people can't go network in Afghanistan either, so cross that off your list.Where you can't go doesn't matter (unless going there is mission critical in which case if you can't your finished).Never focus on the wall--or you will hit the wall--Always focus on where you want to go (Tony Robbins).[...My coach...]Again, lack of full communication--Baseball coach, life coach, real estate coach, someone who is teaching you (???)

I met so many  great people, and learned an incredible amount from information from great hosts, presenters, and attendees. 

Attendees are from Canada and the US. 

(And CPAs)So I did a presentation the other day regarding passive investing and one of the attendees had a question regarding how are they taxed if they are part of a deal and acting as a silent partner.

We are focused on bringing on special guests with years of real estate experience that attendees can learn from and providing a great opportunity for people to network.

I remember seeing you at the conference (arguably the best dressed attendee, I might add). 

So we tend to see a mix of attendees including investors, newbies, lenders, etc.

There are one or two large ones (200+ attendees) almost every month and smaller ones even more frequently. 

If you can find a meetup during the time your visit is scheduled, I would attend a REI or other investor meeting and pick the brains of the attendees.
