@Alexis FigueiredoOpen the Airbnb app, see what and how much competition you have, check out their calendars to see if they are mostly booked or available most of the times, also book 1 or 2 stays near you talk and absorb your competition you will be surprised how much you can learn from that.

There is enough to owning/managing an STR owning the entire place yourself without having to figure out profit sharing, calendar management, decorating arguments, etc. with multiple owners that you do not even know

The two companies should turn profitable in calendar year 2013, and the though was to use their cash throw off to fund my REI.

I've tried out one local REIA so far (and will try out the other too), but from looking at all the calendars, each meeting revolves around an "expert" trying to sell you something.

I also organize a local real estate investor's meetup once a month, the next one will be held on Wednesday, December 3rd at 7pm-so mark it on your calendar!

@Dan Mackin lol sure, I'm thinking about having the Meet up toward August 25 on that Tuesday...the project is set for completion in sept 4th so it would be all pretty before we had the meet up, we  look discuss the psychology of the deal as well as the numbers etc. this will be fun  this is a project that I've already started contractors are working as we speak, I'm going to do it for sure so mark your calendars, August 25th at 6:30 or 7 pm
