Worked in Bellingham and the locals called the Canadians who came down to shop at the K-Mart "cheeseheads", but I never learned why? 

The media isn't helping (though the US news is better than the Canadian news-never thought I'd say that) with all the stories. 

I actually installed these in a house I bought to live in myself in WA on the Canadian border. 

Are there decent PMs, possibly, but everyone I have ever known who has used a PM company, including myself (who was an employee PM) was ripped off by a PMC, and royally.

@Jonathan R McLaughlin haha Canadians can be damn good at fake nice too :) but ya I thought of saying that... that if they drive the good ones away the next ones may not be as good.

And this was on the Canadian border, so long winters and snow.If you can afford to have gas for heat and cooking and hot water (but, I'm talking hot water heaters in each unit, not a central boiler), it would probably be cheaper and more efficient and warmer. 

My first attempt to invest I was 19 years old and was royally ripped off. 

Royal oak, Berkley, ferndale etc..60-70% occupancy..$150-$250/night..

That brought investors, including many Canadians who got wonderful deals with cheap US dollars.
