Wood has a tendency to petrify over time, and the wood they were using for hardwood floors back then was older growth with tight, slow-growth grain which is what you want in a piece of wood - a minimum of soft-cell material between the growth rings.

This method is good if you don't know how to check if your number is flagged for spam and if you only have 1 cell phone you are doing your calling from or don't have a second mobile carrier number to call yourself with to verify if your number is already flagged as spam.
