The focus wasn't about me asking the investor for money to invest in the deal.It was cultivating a meaningful relationship built on trust, credibility and authenticity.The short version, is say what you mean and mean what you say.

Ouch.I have a Tax Agent fight them every year but it doesn't help.I wouldn't mind so much because of appreciation and all ya'know but I'm in the business for cash flow and I haven't been able to raise my rents in a meaningful way in the past two years so the taxes are just eating me alive.

They appreciated the personal touch of working with GP teams that they can actually interact with in a meaningful way. 

In OKC, the REIA has very much an "in group" feel... takes some work and persistence to get any meaningful attention.  

There is no meaningful regulation of any type.

I would really like to form meaningful business relationships with other like minded individuals on the site who believe that success can be shared by all.

This initial investment was the original spark that began my passion for real estate and BP helped me recognize that passion and drive.

Not only are there a wide variety of solutions to problems that have worked for people, but sometimes these can spark other insights.A thread can get quite long sometimes but still there can be other insights that new readers can bring.Like you said some of the best threads are when experienced investors have differing views that they present.
