Is this why BP is so great??

I was reading a bunch of the threads early this morning and something dawned on me. (I can be a little slow sometimes!) The # of different threads and subjects was boggling. I reviewed some of the categories (topics) and saw many with well OVER 1000 different topics and thousands of posts to each of those diverse topics. I wonder if Josh ever imagined the expansion we now see?
That was an eye opener, since most of the time, there are more lurchers than posters. But, that wasn't what makes BP so great, imo.
What makes it so great is not the diverse topics, but the diverse REPLIES in those threads. Think about it. There is a wealth of talent, experience and brains on BP, and yet often there are very differing replies to a question or topic. I'm not talking about the heated political ones, but the others.
One poster says how flipping is the thing to do. Immediately, someone else says buy and hold is the only way to go. Then the posts start coming , with backup info and reasons for the belief. The lurcher may get a great topic, differing views and the reasons for them to help in his/her decision making.
This happens every day here:

condos- good or bad and why
owner finance- good or bad and why
rehabbing methods
work with buyers or sellers
HML or transactional lending and why
market going up or down
vegas market - yes or no.
LLC or Corp
Irrevocable or revocable trust

I'm sure there could be over 100 of these examples, and that is what is cool. Lots of answers and most have reasons they're based on.
It is then up to the reader to listen, agree/disagree and maybe institute some of these changes into his/her philosophy and strategy.
Everyone on BP is free to post his questions or replies. He/she may post a topic that shows his viewpoints, experiences, etc. It happens every day here on BP.
I for one, think that is really cool. We can differ with the message, and as long as done CIVILLY, it continues on the board. Remeber, there are a lot of newbies and lurchers out there. Let's try and be helpful , and not turn them off or drive them away.
Thanks for being involved. This is what makes BP so great, in this person's opinion. Rich
