We used money we saved up as a mil-to-mil couple, did the 10% savings account while we were deployed, set aside money in mutual funds to grow it, used re-enlistment bonus funds, tax-free and hostile fire pay, etc. to put down payments on houses.

I would definitely deploy a responsive website from Storedge or The Storage Group that allows someone to rent a unit and pay online through their laptop or smartphone would be a big benefit.

If you were a doctor with a high income, maybe you'd want to deploy capital that has little to no return now in exchange for high clash flow in 15 years (ie when they with to retire).

The borrower is a flipper/agent and I have no doubt the houses will probably sell within a couple of months which will return a much higher APR and allow me to deploy the capitol into another deal reasonably quick.

That sounds a lot cheaper to me then locking in a cash out for X years at a point lower where you're paying interest even when you don't need to deploy your capital.

My strategy for when I get back to Omaha (I'm deployed right now) will be to continue working my full time and part time jobs and save like crazy until I have at least $20K.
