My question is, for those of you that have multiple properties, how have you structured your financing of these properties and has it compromised your ability to get a loan on your future home?

The cement-board method of laying tile is far easier than any former tile-laying method to compromise with a shoddy installation.So my wife and I do our installations ourselves, and we end up with a vastly superior and tough product that we're quite happy about.

A compromise often works best. 

If you want to build a good portfolio of highly profitable STRs, buying a 3 bedroom or making compromises on size and location when in 6 months you can save up enough to improve both, feels like an early mistake.

I’ll look around and try to find a cheaper area around us within 1-2 hours though since I think that’s the best compromise I could make.

The price is a bit higher than we wanted to pay but it's the perfect compromise for my wife and me as we get ready to start our family. 

There is a reason why the value of the owner occupied house is not included in the asset list but the money owed is included in the liability list when calculating the net worth.Assuming no compromise in the 3 Ls, the only thing that could have been done differently would be to go for as little a downpayment as possible: 3-5% is being offered by big banks.

I am a woman if my word, but this was offensive and  ridiculous because we hadn't  discussed details. so, at first I was thinking no way I sign this one paragraph agreement with so many holes, but my other option knew was to fight for another month or two (I had called local mediation and they had said it would be 3 weeks before they could meet with us.) this paragraph guaranteed they'd be out by the 20th, and would surrender their deposit...I signed it and they are moving right now. not sure if I did the right thing, but sometimes you gotta compromise some security, and take a chance like this, and I am so glad I did. lesson learned was always assume anyone can turn into a lunatic, so do your paperwork, and keep immaculant records.

Whatever you do, don't compromise your requirements just to get a deal done.

I will compromise on price slightly, but only if they will move up their lease date.
