Even buying a $100,000 property wipes out almost everything and that's assuming you don't have to make any initial fixes/repairs.Retaining as much of your personal capital as possible should be a priority so that you can cover anything that may come up in your property or in your personal life.

Either way, I could be wrong but I don't think marital status is a protected class, maybe is in your state or local laws, and I think familial status protection is if denial is based on not accepting someone with a child or expecting a baby.

The extra income from section 8 could easily be wiped out if you get someone in your house who ends up destroying the place.

I other option but to make it work and there is no more a dangerous thing in this world than a mama trying to take care of her babies with nothing to lose so please help any direction is appreciated I don’t want a hand out I want an opportunity to show what I can do
