Now even when it's on minimum with a blower it generates way too much heat & it lacks a thermostat control unit.Also if you get a remote go with direct hard wired ignition as those with batteries in the log set will need to be replaced every year & they are tough to get to.

So, I have spent a little extra $'s on the Nest products with an Internet On The Go hot spot device in each home.The thermostat looks great...but does not bring in additional revenue : ( It does allow me to advertise the "smart" device though : ) And it also allows me to control the thermostat remotely if the the property became vacant.Their other product, the Nest Protect (co/smoke detectors), allows me to see if the batteries are still working in the units remotely and can get a notice if an alarm goes off.

@Mindy Jensen,good catch on the grading under the house.hope you rented/bought an extra pump just in case.now off-topic, this-old-house had a few episodes where they explained the types of sump-pumps.they had mentioned one pump that runs no electricity, using water pressure from city water.many houses in chicago area had basement floods because there was no power for extended periods of time, which eventually drain even the battery backup.

I do have to admit however that I am exhausted and I am looking forward to recharging my batteries over the holidays.I also am going to adjust my marketing campaign in the upcoming year so that I don't generate as many phone calls in such a short time, at least until I start having some help in answering the phone.

I had the basement waterproofed from the outside, installed 2 battery back up dumps (both crocks present when purchased), and needless to say, it is now bone dry.One a simple fix, the other a little more costly.
