I find it interesting everyone spoke of inspections in the light of a tenant doing something 'wrong' or harmful to the property, not as a way to do preventive maintenance on power plants, hvac, and appliances.

I also find that (not labeling every smoker, just in general) when someone has a bad habit like that which is knowingly harming themselves, they won't take as good care of my apartment either and often comes along with other bad life habits.

For example, a horse or a llama may be rejected from a small studio apartment.Second – if the building has 4 units or less and the landlord lives in one of the buildings.Third – it is a single-family house that was rented without a realtor and the owner owns less than 3 single family homes.Fourth – if the animal in the unit brings an undue financial hardship to the landlord.Fifth – if the animal causes damages or harm to others in the building."

It's sad because if you do an ounce of research you can immediately see that Rent control does more harm to communities than good.Instead of new quality affordable housing that is newer and nicer buildings, we get slums, with landlords having no incentive to keep up the property but just get minimal rent and have trash filled, broken windows, bad tenants, druggies etc who just pay the minimal amount of rent.
