I've thought about investing next to hospitals, as they tend to be undesirable to other buyers, but I'm not convinced that hospital workers want to live across the street from their work.

During that showing dog got mud all over the floor and peed on the floor at the next showing (luckily all laminate for both instances and I had my open house survival kit which includes cleanings supplies so I was able to clean it up).

The biggest watch out is property taxes - that part of town, esp newer developments, tend to have higher tax rates due to MUDs/PIDs/WCIDs.

This one's a specific tiling, plaster, and drywall tip:If you plan to use older thinset, older grout, older hot mud, older plaster, or any gypsum or cement-based powder not stored in an airtight container that's been lying around your house in an opened bag for three months or more, put on your respirator and run what you intend to use through an 8-inch fine-mesh strainer first.
