@sean pan, I work up in the Silicon Valley a little bit, do you attend any REIA’s up there?

@Scott Trench    OK  lets take long term... buy a home in Cupertino or Palo Alto in 1995 for 450k and apple stock at what ever it was at.homes have tripled to quadrupled in the last 20 years and of course 100 to 200k of apple stock back then is probably worth 10 to 30X  not a stock guy but I bet its somewhere.that I why silicon valley is what it is.. no need to go any further than there.get a high paying job... buy the right company stock buy a personal resi  HOLD for 20 to 30 years retire rich.. nothing more nothing less

@Andy C.Yes, Sacramento has strong job growth and the economy is much more diverse than the Silicon Valley.

He may believe I can kick the upstairs tenant out or require specific footwear. 

These contracts cost us over 25K as they were from a silicon valley legal firm.If I only have 3-5 investors do I need to go the full blown SEC syndication route?  

I think the larger silicon valley companies are increasing their head count in Seattle.

Example, most properties in Silicon Valley in B+ class asset will rent in less than 2 days on the market 30-60 days ahead of availability date and usually with 10 apps on it and for rents between 3k and 5k for a 3 BDR 1500 sqft SFH.

Hey all,I'm looking to buy a 200K -300K land property in silicon Valley with a partner for short term investment (up to 3 years).The offer  can be 50/50  in cash or 50/25 also in cash when the other 25% will be taking as a loan from the partner with 2.5%-3.5% interest Over the course of 3 years guaranty. just to make that clear in both scenarios we are 50/50 partners of that property.
