Still boils down to will the developers go for it and will the market receive them well.Portland came up with some really high density rules to allow these little tiny home villages and the planners and city was so proud and a few developers tried them but the market ( buyers) dont like them and the projects have failed so no one is building them anymore..

- Even though we structure it to be like a regular LTR as much as possible, ultimately this is still a partnership and the two sides have to have a certain level of trust/respect that's beyond a typical landlord/tenant relationship. - For the right people (landlord who wants hands-free ownership but achieve higher than normal LTR rate, and arbitrager who has the skills and extra bandwidth, AND has confidence in their own ability), I think this kind of arbitrage model is a win-win.I'll be operating in the Triangle area.

Why would you want to file a partnership return instead of reporting it as is where it is owned as tenants in common.If you file a partnership return and have someone else do it, you are likely looking at a $700 annual cost.Reporting it as tenants in common means you report your share of the rental on your individual return and your partner reports his share on his individual return.
