My wife and I own a Business Coaching & Bookkeeping Business and a Candle Business that focuses on more natural scents using products that offer a clean burn. 

In eight years the most staging I've ever done is a shower curtain and maybe a few candles if I really think it needs to pop.  

(Not in order)1) Check and Replace Smoke Alarms every 6 months2) No 100 Watt Light Blubs allowed3) No Daisy Chain of surge protectors, max of 6 items per wall outlet which has usually has two.4) Keep candles in a sturdy holder on a level surface, away from combustible materials and out of the reach of children or pets.

A tenant can sue for sure as anyone can but what they sue for would be offset by rent owed so they don't get anything out of it.These types of laws vary by state.Cop said you could get power turned off and they might leave but then they also might light candles and pull trim off of the walls to burn for heat.I have seen in eviction hearings before when a tenant has said that the place is not suitable to live in.The judge asked them why they didn't leave and they said because the rent price is so cheap.The judge then said you ask the landlord in writing to make the repairs.If they do not make the repairs then you leave or pay to have the repairs done and keep the receipts so they can be deducted off of the rent owed.The judge said he has never seen a tenant pay for repairs in his history on the bench.Then the judge simply issues judgement in favor of the landlord.Hypothetically speaking the tenants need to leave or fix the place on their own cost.Doesn't make sense as a landlord to fix a bunch of crap for non-paying tenants you would are evicting anyways.They will just cause more damage to the unit.Better to get them out and then fix everything.

All it does is raise the HOA & put more of an already financial strain homeowners thru higher HOA's.Then you gotta deal with liability. 1 builiding in our condo burned down due to an owner having a candle on the bed that caught on fire.

I had a similar basement room and rented it to a tenant with a candle making business.

I've often wondered if Tucson might have some long term legs as a possible tech hub, since it has a low cost of living, good weather, great university with sound technical departments and research and that liberal/hippie/hipster vibe that seems to attract tech.

Really, by itself it's ok, not much different than a candle.

The majority of Todays lot couldn't hold a candle to your father.
