Maybe the best thing to do would be to crack down on your expenses and income and making sure you are financially stable enough to get started.Hope this helps

There have been so many blatant violations of the general soliciting provision of securities laws in the last 10 years that the SEC has no choice but to crack down on the most flagrant violators.

Lindsay, my understanding is that they are starting to crack down on STRs, but i'm not sure if it's a city thing or a county thing. 

I suspect every state is different.. its not one size fits all for sure.and in Oregon on top of a GC license you as the owner need a DEVELOPERS LICENSE and you need to be bonded and insured as well. even to flip one home a year.. and they are really starting to crack down on this.. trust me I know I have been on the butt end of this LOL 

But I know there have been major crackdowns in Houston.

So this is kind of recycled old technique, and if it becomes real popular and there are enough defaults, Fannie/Freddie, VA, FHA will crack down. 

Obviously, you need to crack down on the tenant removing the safety devices (what is their reasoning for doing so in the first place?).

The only city with major crackdown and massive fines is Miami Beach, because there hotels and tourist lobbyists made it that way.
