I have stocks just sitting around and I'd like to sell some of them so that I have liquid available to deploy at some point into a syndication of my liking as an Lp.

@George McQueenYou're definitely in a unique position with your skillset and capital you have to deploy. 

They are looking to find ways they can deploy their clients capital. 

I politely say I do not have time for it.The reality is there are too many buyers out there saving money or sitting on money since 2008 now ready to deploy for deals.

When you exit a deal, what normally ends up happening (like Tom Brady keep winning more Super Bowls) is that you go into two more deals (with now double the amount of capital) and you will likely find that with those new K1s you could result in you having way more passive losses you began with If you can see where this is going... yes, experienced investors with a lot of capital deployed might have 500k-1M+ suspended passive losses and have not paid taxes in years and do not appear to pay taxes for years!

Unfortunately an LLC was not really an option when this entity was formed in the early 90's).We are wanting to deploy these proceeds to purchase additional investments (mostly commercial real estate).

I'm currently at 33 properties, and I'm talking to a few banks about commercial lending on packages of our single family homes, so we may soon be looking to deploy a lot of capital quickly, possibly doubling our portfolio this year.For the first 2-3 years I did everything myself.

And while you are waiting for the right investment opportunity you can always deploy your funds into short term private lending, that is what I do, most of my retirement funds are invested in short term or long term trust deeds.

On a different matter but similar, my husband is deployed.
