And can I get away with only getting permits on new electric & moving plumbing, but demo,  erect walls myself and things like that?

This can be a key factor in maintaining bookings year-round!

I do feel that Lathrop/Manteca may appreciate a little more because of it being closer to SF Bay and the jobs around here however that commute has to be a total of 3.5 to 4 hours a day. round trip.  

Now that BP has somehow determined #1 status for some members it might be fun to do a weekly podcast with the #1s in a round table. 

It is also the top tourist destination in the US, and it is a year-round market with fairly consistent performance year after year.

Perhaps have that added on your next round.

I.e. for carpenters, knowing how many doors need installed, all trim installed, addition of quarter rounds AFTER floors are refinished, wood filling of all nail holes and caulking of all gaps in trim.Tile installers: installation of wonder board, with all seams taped and cemented.
