IMHO, the character of the sponsor is the most important consideration, regardless of how good a deal might look.  

When everything goes smooth, life is easy, it’s how people respond when things go bad that shows character.

It was character building for sure!

Everyone has a sob story, but trust the numbers on the credit score and focus on job history and solid character.

And fico is down the list at what my commercial banks look at for multi million dollar loans I get.. those are based on the 3 Cs  Character  Capacity Collateral   and of course experience and length of time with the institution.. now this is for my development and construction loans.. 

This past week, a dumpster has popped up in 2 (not 1 as the title says- character limits!) 

(real case)But I'll take any day someone who filed bankruptcy for medical bills - people not going to die because they were not able to pay $100K for a surgery.That's why I meet every tenant and talk to them about everything: job, family, dogs, weather.....lolI want to get their character and life in general.I almost took application from a woman - she was nice and sweet and her income was sufficient with no evictions etc.

I’m aware adversity builds character and moves you forward but at the same time I don’t want to be stupid lol.

We have a 100 y/o single family buy&hold in Missouri and would like to turn the attic into usable space. ideally we could keep the rafters exposed in keeping with the character of the home, so the standard 6 inch fiberglass would not work.
