I would hope that this company is encouraging prospective clients to engage the services of a third party appraiser, rather than brushing off the necessity of an appraisal as an unnecessary annoyance.On the one hand, I'd like to say this is a new outfit that just has more business than they expected.

@Mark Berge you could allow it but only if you have specific terms in writing about who does the work, do the colors and sheen need to be approved prior to the fist brush stroke? 

If I'm in your shoes, I would attend at least 1 RE event a month or two, just to brush shoulders with lenders, other agents, and investors that frequent these events. 

Or just brush it off with "No, my schedule for the rest of my day is pretty clear as I didn't know how long this would take". 

It includes, among other things, a comprehensive map of the Cleveland area, grading each tract from A+ down to F, with a consistent, objective and transparent methodology using publicly available data rather than a broad-brush subjective approach.

Each town/office/worker is different and it's hard to paint them all with the same brushes.

After you take them down, clean with soap and water, then use a wire brush to remove any heavy rust - a little WD-40 works great as a solvent to help remove the rust.

Not sure that qualifies as a brush with death.  

Brushing up on this, hadn't looked at it in awhile.

If you can cheaply update any metal fixtures (door knobs, and light fixtures especially) to a brushed nickel instead of brass, it will help give the entire place an updated look which usually translates to the property renting quicker.
