My tenants have included four teachers from foreign countries who shared an apartment, Doctors doing their Residencies at local hospitals, and single working professionals who are ok sharing the kitchen and bathroom.My minimum lease term is 1 month, but the majority of my tenants stay 2+ years.As Maurice stated, they are focused on their jobs, and don't care that the apartments do not have dishwashers, washer/dryers, marble countertops or the newest appliances.

For example, if none of my comps have granite countertops...then I shouldn't be placing granite countertops in the home.  

Of my renovations I have heavily DIY'd and hired multiple Home Depot day laborers to install countertops, flooring, doors, etc.With building a wall I am a bit more hesitant to use a day laborer or do it myself since I want the finished product to be structurally sound.

So, even if they do find a comp nearby they can only look at the outside and can't determine if the inside has granite countertops and wood flooring or dirt flooring.

Countertops: Clean all countertops and backsplash, including edges and corners.Bathroom Cabinets: Empty all cabinets and drawers, vacuum if needed, and thoroughly wash inside and out.

I know plenty of officers who have handguns sitting on countertops, in drawers, in their car in the driveway, you name it.
