I have heard really good things about RentVine and a lot of people are moving over because Appfolio and Propertyware are not responsive to new technologies and slow to update.

I found a post from 2011 regarding this topic, but ideas and technology have advanced since then, so I thought I would seek some fresh information from those that have had to deal with this situation.

For the record, I am a computer programmer and I know some of the technology out there isn't worth the money people are paying for it. 

Using the pool as the receptacle for the heat from the house actually increases the efficiency of the A/C in most cases so not only do you heat the pool for free, you get cost savings on the electric bill.I’ve always thought about starting a company to produce fully turnkey home heat pump systems that  So are you saying that the technology available can or cannot do this?

I will be working at the Illinois Institute of Technology since it is in the South so I am also looking for safe areas in the neighborhood of IIT.
