For example, our local natural gas company will provide therm consumption but not the dollar amount charged for each bill.

We all operate with moral absolutes as a foundation, but decisions beyond that arena largely come down to understanding the trade offs and optimizing for the result that fits best for your family.

I still like dishwashers because it helps with the water consumption but low end units probably better without them.Low end units tend to get low end dishwashers so they don't have hard food disposers so they can't handle non-cleaned plates.
