The author lacks a fundamental understanding and education of finance and investing. 

Fundamentals are that there needs to be an egress/window, 70 sqft. floor area.

The removal of property rights is no small thing, this is not a bailout or some adjustment of laws, this is the total change to a fundamental of our society and nation itself. 

I guess it's more of a fundamental issue that I have about paying a ton of money for information that's free.  

I do consider foreign buyers to be part of this because many of them (in NYC at least) are just parking money with no thought to fundamentals.

To be a successful hard money lender, you really need to have an extremely strong understanding of the fundamentals of investing yourself.
