The deadline has been looming for a while.   

Know your price and stick to it - for 6 months and 20 bids if necessary...Be prepared for the seller side to drag the process out for a long time, while demanding that you meet deadlines on short notice.Also, the standard advice, don't get emotionally attached when bidding.

This works just fine for the most part, but I have one guy who is constantly running right up to the deadline and wants to drop the rent off.

So I had a similar question, had a deadline (1031) so I hit up google and went crazy.

For example:MLS #18017621 $352k Stated Rents of $1,100 & $750This home had an offer submission deadline and a considerable number of offers according to the MLS.

What kind of ballon payment deadline (6-10-15 years) is standard for such deals?

It just felt like we didn't have a clear path of an order and deadlines, if that makes any sense.I will review what went right and wrong to help flesh it out.

Being my first property I can expect to have surprises and not having deadlines to make for financing, relieves a lot of stress.
