I have looked at other coastal markets that are less expensive than Charleston proper.

Being in the Austin market gives you a great advantage since it’s such a hotspot for investors.

Marketing to a bigger market of Buyers What was the outcome?

Nashville is such a great market to get started in! 

I signed up for their investor profile because I am interested in the appreciation in the North Texas (or northern suburbs of DFW) market.

I was sent an offering memo by a broker selling a multi-family building in an area no reasonable person would even consider affordable housing material yet the marketing materials made a point of emphasis to detail how the property would satisfy the need for affordable housing.

-why not pick a market closer to home? 

The real power of single family residential comes with stable, consistent markets that chug along, have good rental base/demand and growth potential. 

They have been managing fine, although not too busy, I guess because of the market.

Never considered it a market to invest in.
