These were original 1920s hardwood flooring so that will make a difference, as the grain is dense and hard and doesn't absorb as readily as newer, quick growth hardwoods.

@Chris Marette, take this with a grain of salt, because the only times I appealed appraisals were before COVID.In my experience, if you stay with the same lender and you get a second appraisal, the best I got was an average of the two appraisals.

I know there is tons of animosity toward Zillow but its still a tool and I use it with a grain of salt just like a baseline glance, I don't have access to the MLS so I don't have up to info up to date but hey we work with what we got.

I know they mean well and try to frame it this way in my mind, but getting financial advice from someone who is copelled by food is maybe not the best idea.Instead, offer $300 for an hour of their time.
