What would you advice, should I go ahead and start out of state investing with section 8 why I continue to pay rent or patiently wait till I find a property in Houston to house hack (This will take some time away from my goal of investing in a certain number of units this year).Please share your opinion.Thanks

I would suggest that you go and patiently explain this fact and ask for what you need. 

Be patient, stay focused on your goals, and be prepared to learn from both successes and challenges. 

Be patient when it comes time to market and get it rented.

Be patient.

Thankfully buyer was patient and still closed, a couple months later than anticipated.  

If you're going to do it, it's a long-term play so do it early and be patient.

He says he doesn't want anyone who isn't committed and persistent and patient. 

I don't want to miss a good opportunity but I am also ok being patient - just trying to get all my ducks in a row, so I have the knowledge if something does come along - our credit is 800+ and we have about 900k in equity in our home with a 3.625 interest rate. 

I did find a realtor who has been great, she's very patient and willing to show properties to contractors for estimates.
