I'd probably put one on to save my plumbing. really no toilet lid  that sure sounds pretty slumlordy to me. not to mention what if baby falls in and drowns because there was no toilet lid.. toddlers need those things closed you can buy a  safety latch for them..

We took a look at the apartment and everything semed OK, until the day I got the keys. i noticed the carpets in what would be my sons room were disgusting and not livable especially for a toddler. also there is construction going on in the apartment that is still not finished.Now he is telling apartment is being rented as is, i offered to split the cost of a new carpet with him and he refuses.
