The technique at this point would be to support the beam with temporary supports, remove the post that's there now, put in a new lally post and adjust the screw just until the temporary support are loose.

Just a word of caution...As implied, you are trading something of value in return for referrals---this could be construed as a RESPA violation if framed in the right light...You are better to pay referral fees for the hard money references, as hard money is construed as temporary financing and not covered by the RESPA guidelines.
