The problem with excluding the guru type stuff is THAT is what people always say is overpriced crap to stay away from.As others have said if you go to a seminar for a small fee that is geared towards a specific topic and there is no upsell (or something reasonable like a modestly priced book or packet of notes) then it can be a great value.I have taken some adult education classes in several towns around me on a variety of things real estate related that have been inexpensive and very valuable.
