A couple things aren't clear from your post.First, you distinguish between condos and apartments.

Those areas are also very distinguishable, block by block. 

Back in the day, the Goodrich Tire Company distinguished itself from the Goodyear Tire Company by saying "we're the ones without the blimp" and Avis competed with Hertz by saying "we're number two, we try harder."

However, selling your contract for a markup is pretty hard to distinguish from a net listing - and as I'm sure you know, that's illegal in MA (and I think in all 50 states).If you offer on a property for yourself, you must clearly disclose that you're a licensee. 

I am a property manager (I like to say rental investment manager to distinguish ourselves from the rest.

You have to be able to distinguish that in your break down of cost up front.

Moreover, some neighborhoods and/or internal developments can further be distinguished by mere impoverishment versus impoverishment plus criminality.

And appreciate the perspective on distinguishing between maintenance and extending useful life.

A lot of agents put their name and "Real Estate Agent" or something along those lines as the title of their blog/site, but their prospective clients are searching for agents in a specific location and if you don't specify where you work there's nothing to distinguish you from an agent on the other side of the country.
