So all you need to do is shut down the main breaker.Gas is a different story, you must be present for at least 2 reasons. 1) let the technician in since the meters are usually in the basement ( there are a few meters outside now probably after renovations). 2) They do not want to turn on the gas without being able to test for gas leaks or carbon monoxide.

I've never seen a Deed of Trust in Massachusetts, they are always mortgages.Alexaundra, use @Adam Carbone's link above, and you should be able to track down the last recorded deed.

,I guess I was "lucky" in that the 1st time homebuyer credit was rolled out a just after I bought my house.I have carbon copies of rental reciepts from when I collected the cash in person and for the past 4 months have bank statements showing direct deposits into an account I designated for the tenant.
