It ain't much and it wouldn't pay to repaint the room they stayed in, but the psychological effect is present and that works.

As a deep-seated cultural prejudice, I don't like living in places where the ceilings are not flat white -- there's a saying where I'm from that only palaces and bordellos have colored ceilings.

Hard to describe but imagine a very busy piece of stationary with colorful shapes and starbursts that then had text printed over it.

The flooring color should not matter to you as the owner, unless it is crazy like pink carpet..

I think you could accent those colors well with the right colors.

You can score unique, high-quality pieces at lower prices, but be prepared for limited sizes and colors.

I plan on doing a neutral paint color like beige on all the walls, white trim & ceilings, and LVT everywhere on the main floor (except the living room).

There are some bare walls here an there that could use a pop of color.
