If I had a contract to install a new roof, and I only demo the roof then got an argument with the client because we need to change 80% of the sheeting and did not specify that I only budgeted for 10%, then I walk away on the job, the client can hire someone else and go after the Performance Bond).Excess Policy/Insurance covers all the damages which will exceed all my policies/insurances, say someone sues me for 1.5M and my policy only covers 1M, this covers it.On my statement where I said having a licensed and insured contractor is not enough, is because all my subs are licensed, bonded, and insured.
