I am a huge DIYer and so far - Laid the vinyl flooring 1500sqft- Installed Recess lights (40 lights)- Built a retaining wall (35ft)- Built a pergola from ground up- Interior paint (appro 2500 sqft)- Built a wooden board-on-board fence (75ft)also, a software engineer (nerd 😊) I am 38yrs old and have some milage to do DIY to buy a partially run-down property and upgrade it.Looking forward to learning new things from the members and seek advice.

My net worth is about 10 million, which is obviously a great financial position to be in at my age (mid 30s), but it is also a bit nerve racking trying to figure out the right way to do this.I have a relatively small investment in the financial markets (<10% of my net worth), and now looking to deploy around 5 million total that will kick off an income source while preserving the capital.

BRRRR is the most efficient way to start/grow a small portfolio, but impatience expressed financially is debt, so you can't be shy about racking up mortgages.Once you get going with BRRRR you will get to a point fairly rapidly where your personal income streams that exist now could not cover your debt service payments for your investment properties and how far past that point you are willing to go will determine your growth potential.
