There was just a long silence.

Some people are afraid of calling back and dealing with the awkward silence as they try to figure out who this random person is and piece the puzzle together.  

The silence is deafening :) I'll use that money for marketing!

Silence is your friend, ask questions and just listen for their answer, listen for the keywords that made them start working with you.
