You’ll see one of two things show up at the top of the search on AirBnB: new listings or ultra cheap/discounted listings.AirBnB isn’t losing revenue because they already pivoted to luxury and boutique a year ago to counteract the downturn in average listings they saw coming.

Many properties will not cash flow, period, and many get bulldozed and pushed into their own basements as decay eventually caves them in.2) Tight money supply; a Central Bank doesn't keep enough dollars in circulation.

If they are looking for a home, again ask them to write on the back of the card or they can contact you after hours (you are adding retail buyers to your list - which are gold, but their interest decays quickly).Then remember to answer your phone - don't let it go to voicemail.

Also, I’m assuming there would be underground drains/pipes draining the water into the detention pond, rather than water getting filled only from the top.I think the maintenance part may be a bigger issue, in terms of keeping it clean and free of decaying debris, stagnant water giving rise to unpleasant smell and mosquitoes, etc.

I think a lot of new investors look at the allure of STR and see the big revenue numbers and forget how much damage your house and your furniture and your furnishings will take with guest after guest after guest staying in your houseIf you let your house and the furniture and the furnishings fall into a state of decay, what originally started as a big moneymaker will instead become a constant source of guest complaints and bad reviews and headaches and sleepless nights (for you & your guests!)
