Regarding work, there are numerous positions a person can get by having their P&C license; however, your friend would need to determine what type of job they want, i.e, do they want to work as a Producer/Agent for a retail captive agency like State Farm or Allstate, or do they want to work as a Producer/Agent for an independent agency that has access to multiple markets. 

Because he is a broker, rather than captive agent like Gieco, he has a lot more flexibility.

@Haickel Padron I ended up using a captive agency for my house, cars and personal umbrella, and then I use a local independent agent to do all of my rentals.

We are being held captive by his refusal to do what is legally correct.

While you're doing your studies, you have a captive "audience" of contacts for future networking.
