Took a few years to get licensing, permits, etc, to either restore it to being an assisted living facility, or convert it into one.

Tbh that is what I have been thinking. especially since I am from the New Jersey/ New York area and prices got so insane here people are starting to move west so I figured Scranton is going to be up and coming.

From what i’ve heard about New York, California, Washington and Seattle is that these states are very pro tenant, so be very careful about buying something before you speak with an attorney who knows what they are doing!!!

Is it possible to get a separate water meter and boiler for each legal apartment in Brooklyn, New York, so the tenant will be responsible for water, cooking gas, and electric?

If you don’t, they can force you to remove the new construction and restore it back to its original state and issue fines.
