I am a new investor from Utah and I am looking to get cash out from my current home to get into real estate investments.

I was thinking north around UT where I know demand will be but also see potential around St.

I'm moving to the Salt Lake City (SLC) area and looking to buy a home (2607 S Highland Dr, Salt Lake City, Utah 3bdr 2bt for $349,900).

Thankfully, we balance each other out.I travel extensively through CA, AZ, NV, UT, OR & WA for my day job and would like to educate myself on some good markets in those states in which to invest.  

My grandfather passed down his property in Salt Lake City Utah.

He mostly lived in Utah, but was staying out here while his mother was ill.

This rule was changed and now ; there is no age requirement, you can do it over and over again and make 500K EACH time tax free.I did this 4 times in UTAH, never left the neighborhood, and made about 600-700K TAX free.

I am in Utah and I'm hoping for some guidance or any tips!

My question is to anyone that knows the laws in Utah; if I go to school, pay all the Realtor dues and fees, do I have to be under a brokerage if I'm just doing my own stuff and not practicing as a Realtor to the general public?
