The particular street is lined with these smaller (~1100 square foot) almost garden style SFRs but is part of a larger subdivision with slightly more owner occupant, traditional style, and slightly larger homes (~500+ more square footage) after you get past the smaller ones.

I guess it's unconventional, but we don't know if this sort of thing, since we do many garden projects, will affect our appraisal and inspection.Appreciate any insight!

Theres a large 4plex community west side near garden of the gods, these tend to fetch higher rents than the rest.

The water from showers and sinks can be used to irrigate your garden using a simple, inexpensive (even homemade) "greywater system".

The simplest way to put it is that every time money gets involved (buying lumber, hiring a gardener, etc) you have to put it on the spread sheet.
