Winter/late fall where sellers might be stuck for months because of the holidays and winter time.  

I have heard that selling a house in the winter time is a bad idea, but for whatever reason I had trouble finding any discussion on the topic anywhere on BP.  

In the winter time i have a influx of skilled contractors that i take on, i have taken them from there summer job by offering less money than what they were making but since i can show them i work 12 months out of the year compared to 8.most of our employees came from our current employee referrals. 

Others have reported on this website with some regularity that they have not had trouble finding renters in the winter time but again something to consider.

If it is winter time and you don't have an automatic turn on of utilities in your name when a tenant moves out, you will indeed want to have the tenant keep the utilities in their name until their lease expires. 

I will never have a vacant unit in the winter time again. 

This year we are going to try rent by the room to increase the monthly rent over the winter time.

That's something I am beginning to realize about renovations in winter time versus summer time.

I have found, contractors love taking jobs that keep them more indoors in the winter time.
