@James Ritter  since I am a property owner and one that is targeted by these I could be some what jaded.. as I get about 5 or more of the exact same letters each and every week.. so to me they all look the same and say the same thing but of course its the shot gun approach and your just tryhing to get a deal or two.. and if like I said your working a market in the NE that has an over supply of homes and cheap ones this probably works.We have done well in the past with post cards that were big colorful and flashy  cheaper and they get read more since they don't have to be opened.Also if I am targeting a certain area or product I go the other way... very professional and to the point..
