The fab is done in cheaper labor markets and a discerning eye can tell it is pre-fab (reflected in the price), but it is good enough for all but the highest class properties.I have units in a B+/A- area (Pt Loma) that I would use prefab granite counters (market rent $4.5k/month).

Just some thoughts:1 - This is a fiercely competitive area between other STR and hotels.2 - I would recommend working with a knowledgeable agent in the area as there are a lot of rules and laws.3 - I would recommend professional management; as it is competitive and you will have a slightly higher end/higher end rental with discerning guests.4 - ROI may be higher in areas further away (think Polk County/Legoland, Tampa (half way between Clearwater Beach and WDW) and New Smyrna area etc).5 - I highly recommend a pool home, preferrably heated.There are some others but those are top line thoughts.

I think in the immediate area around TU, there should be no discernible difference in $/per room that you can get for rent especially if you are looking to market to college kids.
