You are not seeing an anomaly as we have seen the same thing in our areas. 

Sometimes it's an anomaly and 20% less so worth at least checking. 

For example, in west central Minnesota, anecdotal information suggests that contracts for deed are a commonly used alternative to mortgages.Still, some financial counselors and property law scholars regard the contract for deed as a "legal dinosaur 3 or an "anomaly,"4 and even call for its demise.

By conducting regular audits, businesses can identify and analyze trends, anomalies, and opportunities for cost-saving.

It was an anomaly and the window is now firmly closed.  

I think SoCal will always be an anomaly.

Because I knew I was the anomaly, I knew I was unique and could save boatloads of money by working this project from start to finish.

(I’m choosing October but every month in 2022 is comparable, this is not an anomaly). 

The anomalies have been the declines according to Case Schiller.

I like to stay in the midwest as it tends to be sheltered from the anomalies you sometimes hear about some of the markets on the coasts.
