I am real estate agent that has just started wholesaling off market properties and have only done one so far but in Hartford County.

I just finished up a successful marketing campaign and am gearing up for another one soon (in Hartford County).

For someone like myself who just moved into the Connecticut I don't know New Haven from Hartford, nevermind other small details that I'm sure I am not privy to yet.Now I'm not coming to the Forums with a broad question like that of course.What I am looking for assistance on is what are some key factors to look for when researching a town?

Now my family is moving from Hartford City, Indiana to Avon (Indianapolis area), Indiana.

Specifically, I'm interested in flipping modestly-priced single-family distressed properties in the Hartford County (Connecticut) area.I've read all of the "getting started" material and quite a few forums, and I've even drafted a business plan.

Both Aetna and Cigna are in the process of merging with companies in much more tax friendly states and now I am hearing rumors of the Hartford.

Wholesaling only works if you have both time and $$, or you can partner with someone and offer one of those ($$ or time)  I am a real estate broker in Hartford County and would be willing to chat with you.  

My company is growing into Hartford and New Haven counties of CT and we need contractors with experience in rehabbing SFH's.
