His personal winery that was catering to the 40 to 80 dollar bottles at retail.. suffered tremendously and many went out of business and ended up being sold to celebrities and very rich business folks. not people interested in making money which is a lot of what happens in Napa.so in short your tenants will not store wine they will buy a bottle and drink it.. maybe buy 2 or 3 but that will be it.

Hey All,I am buying a large estate to turn it into a mixed-use project office space/winery/bed & breakfast.

Soil and slope are great for wine grapes, but from other conversations we've had, we've been told it's not worth the huge investment for grapes unless you're doing the whole winery thing and producing your own label, etc.

I went from W2-->SFR live-in-then-rent-->SFR purchase and rent-->SFR live-in fix-and-flip-->small MF/townhomes-->Medium MF and failed-->wanting to buy a farm but the deals stunk-->more small MF/townhomes-->finding vineyards and learning to underwrite them-->2 years figuring out and putting first vineyard deal together-->now building a winery services business-->syndicating development of wine grape vineyards in our area to grow an empire.The point is this: Life is unpredictable and fun, unless you're doing nothing.

I have an acquaintance that owns a beautiful winery themed wedding venue surrounding by rolling hills 45 min east of the Twin Cities.
