One advantage would be if a mortgagor successfully sued you, your other notes would theoretically not be threatened. 

Months later, I threaten to sue him, and then he gave me a 5 year warrantee. 

But though the mortgage co also allowed sale or ignored it, and now mortgage is null and void  they're threatening me.  1, do I file paperwork if intent to redeem?

Steve Jobs singlehandedly enforced non-compete contracts in Silicon Valley by threatening competitors if they ever tried to steal his top engineers; Bill Gates spent a decade resisting opening a Bay Area campus; Sun Microsystems instituted remote work policies so that they could allow their employees to live around the country (and the world).  

This is a new change in the law that allows a landlord to do this only in cases where a "reasonable " person would feel threatened if posting by the other means that I listed previously.
