At 23, I am currently working towards my license to be an architect, and I am curious to see how my skills and education can apply to real estate investing.

Also, FWIW, my wife is a graphic designer/architect and I'm pretty sure I would have heard about it sooner if we were living in the degree of squalor this bill indicates. 

Most importantly, it would help reduce stress because I'm currently scraping by making these payments.My agent, architect and contractor have all been very helpful but at this point I feel overwhelmed and don't know which outcome would be the wisest and most lucrative.

As an architect in Redmond, I know there are many avenues for a piece of property.

The previous owner went through an architect to get a new floor plan. 

I currently live in Sydney, Australia (I am an architect) and I am surprised to hear all the time from US property investors that they need to replace a roof.

At this point those are not my strongest skills which is one of the main reasons I joined BP.That being said, I am a Licensed Architect and we do a lot of residential remodeling throughout Chicagoland.

I own other properties as well, which i for obvious reasons don't have any major projects going on, I typically work 40 hours a week at my engineering job, then i also work 4-5 hours a day on real estate between calling contractors for sprinkler installations, fire alarm installation quotes, architect quotes etc.

The only way we were going to be successful is if we found an architect and construction manager with decades of experience who could help us navigate the complex waters of real estate development.
